Original documents from competent authorities in your country confirming your current marital status (single, divorced, widow, or widower), with a date, stamp, and signature. For most countries, this document must bear an Apostille or an equivalent stamp for some countries (registry stamp). The document must be translated into English, and the translation must be certified by a notary or a competent authority.
Note: Marital status documents are valid for 3 months from the date of issue. EU citizens are not required to provide an Apostille. Along with the translation, the original document is mandatory.
